the community by the Middle Tennessee Medical Center at
the 3rd Annual Physician’s Gala on Friday evening, January 12, 2007.
The event was held on the campus of Middle Tennessee State
University, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Dr. Smith's wife, Mrs. Toni Armstrong Smith, is the daughter of the late Luther Armstrong, Jr., granddaughter of Luther and Carrie Holt Armstrong, great granddaughter of Frank and Minnie Montgomery Holt, and great great granddaughter of Jerry and Emma Montgomery.
