Cheryl Stallworth-Hooper
Cheryl Stallworth-Hooper, great-great granddaughter of Emma and Jerry Montgomery, is currently General Manager of Colgate-Palmolive Guatemala (Central America) and is responsible for accelerating sales and profits in one of the fastest growing Colgate subsidiaries in Latin America.
Cheryl was previously Colgate’s Worldwide Director of Skin Cleansing—based in Colgate’s New York headquarters. She was responsible for leading the development of strategies for generating growth on the Skin Cleansing business worldwide.
Cheryl first joined Colgate’s U.S. marketing department in 1988, and was responsible for managing the development of new personal care products. She was subsequently promoted to Marketing Director of C-P Costa Rica. After leaving Colgate in 1995, she joined The Coca-Cola Company, where she held positions of significant responsibility internationally and domestically, including her role as Marketing Director for Caribbean and Central America. Cheryl previously worked as a brand manager for RJR/Nabisco and Hunt-Wesson Foods on well-known brands such as Orville Redenbacher Popcorn. She also was a V.P./Managing Director of the Greenfield Consulting Group serving a number of blue-chip multi-national clients in the consumer goods, pharmaceutical, and technology industries.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor or Arts degree in Radio, Television and Film from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and was a radio announcer prior to pursuing her business career. Cheryl received her MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and currently resides in Guatemala City with her husband of 20 years, Wayne Hooper, a jazz musician.[MONTGOMERYS OF MONROE COUNTY, ALABAMA]
