Greetings to the best Family in the world,

My hope is that this letter finds all of my family members blessed, prosperous and God dependent. Great plans are made for our historic gathering this July. This year's reunion has been a challenge in several aspects... 1) it's the first effort of our family using a reunion committee format with all committee members living in different states (we have previously used individuals or a couple;.... also 2) the chosen reunion location has no member currently living there so every thing was done long distance and by travel. BUT IN SPITE OF THIS... ..Our reunion now promises to be one of the best ever.

WE RETURN TO OUR ROOTS ..the homesites, the roads, the oral histories, the creeks, our ancestor's gravesites, the old sharecropper's store, the Montgomerys homestead and land...and all the things we want our children and their children to see. Plus we experience the unparalleled human emotion of being surrounded by the family from which you descend. This reunion is truly all about family and heritage. Be here.

10:00A.M.Board buses at the Community Center for tour of Monroe County
12:30 P.M. Picnic at the old gristmill (Rikard park)
4:00 P.M.Return to Community Center
7:00 P.M.Family banquet
     

SUNDAY - JULY 9th


9:00 A.M.Prayer breakfast at the Monroeville Community Center
Hugs,  kisses and goodbyes

Bring your family, and your friends are invited to see a real family in action. Bring your stories and memories to share with the whole family. Leave your coats and ties at home and lets enjoy each other and have big fun. Looking forward to seeing each of you at the reunion.

SPECIAL NOTE: Also we need everyone's help to compile the full Montgomery family tree as far and as complete as we can. NOTE: If you made a special gift pledge to the reunion (to help keep cost low so nobody will miss due to finances), please send your money as quickly as possible to our treasurer. If you didn't go on record to give but can send a special gift it will be appreciated and recorded. Some of our family members have big families and we need to help make the reunion possible for all that care. Most pledges are $100.
