OBITUARY

DAILEY, GEORGE, age 75, of Montevallo, made his transition on Monday, September 29, 2003. He was a native of Monroeville, retired educator from the Shelby County Board of Education after 38 years of service, former member of the Montevallo City Council, and currently serving as a Shelby County Commissioner. He was a faithful member of the Shiloh Baptist Church Montevallo. Service of Memory will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Montevallo Middle School, Reverend Dr. Rogers L. White will officiate, with interment in the Stallworth Cemetery, Atmore, Alabama. His loving survivors are devoted wife, Jewel Wallace Dailey; daughters, Jennifer Elaine (Prince) Colley, and Deborah Ann (Randy) Palmer, brother and sisters, Henry Lee Dailey, Minnie Abner, Helen Harris, and Gwendolyn Cole; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Calera directing (668-1188).
