Responsible for implementing policy enacted by the commissioners and for the day-to-day operation of county government. Other duties include developing, implementing, and monitoring all budget activities, overseeing all employment practices pertaining to county employees, safekeeping all securities and investments of the county, maintaining financial and accounting records in compliance with the standards of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, administering grant programs, managing payroll, and supervising the purchasing of materials.
