Colonel Sandra V. Richardson
Colonel Sandra V. Richardson, great-great granddaughter of London and Celia Montgomery, is currently Special Assistant to the Chief Information Officer, Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Arlington, Virginia. A native of Beatrice, she was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Finance Corps in 1978.
Her most recent assignment was Senior Military Assistant to the Director, Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). She has held a variety of command and staff positions to include: Commander, DFAS Orlando; Commander, 176th Finance Battalion, Yongsan, Korea; Commander, 45th Finance Support Unit, and Deputy Finance and Accounting Officer, Kaiserslautern, Germany; Training/Executive Officer and Chief, Military Pay Branch, United States Army Military Police School and Training Center, Fort McClellan, Alabama; and Central Accounting Officer, Second Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea.
Key staff positions held include: Military Assistant for the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management and Comptroller), Chief, Financial Management, Office of the Comptroller and The Joint Staff, and Program/Budget Officer, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management and Comptroller), Washington, D.C., Staff Finance Officer and Assistant Executive Officer, U. S. Army Finance and Accounting Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Col. Richardson’s military education includes the United States Army Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. She earned a B.S. degree with honors in Accounting from Tuskegee University and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Alabama.
Col.
